Our Story
B-Side Bois: A Rugby Podcast is where rugby meets real life. Hosted by four passionate rugby diehards from the American Midwest, the B-Side Bois bring humor, honest opinions, and a genuine love for growing the game to every episode.
The show began in May 2022 in Mr. Gray’s garage after Philly V tossed out a simple idea: “We should start a rugby podcast.” There was no business plan, no grand vision, and no roadmap—just four friends, a few beers, and a love for rugby. In those early days, the focus was simple: interview interesting people from across the rugby community, share what was happening around the game, and give rugby fans a place to feel connected.
What started as an excuse for the Bois to hang out, talk rugby, and enjoy a few cold ones has grown into something much bigger. Today, B-Side Bois produces a full video podcast while also broadcasting and livestreaming high school, collegiate, and senior club rugby matches, helping bring the sport to new audiences across the country.
Whether you’re a lifelong rugby supporter or just learning what a ruck is, you’ll find something here. Each episode the Bois break down the biggest stories from local, national, and international rugby, interview members of the rugby community, preview upcoming matches, and celebrate the people and traditions that make the sport unlike any other.
From Major League Rugby and international test matches to grassroots clubs, youth rugby, and everything in between, no level of the game is too big or too small. With recurring segments like What the Ruck?, which explains rugby to new fans, and What to Watch, highlighting the biggest upcoming matches, the show is built to welcome new supporters while giving longtime fans plenty to debate.
If you love rugby, or you’re curious why so many people do, grab a seat, crack a drink, and join the conversation. Welcome to the B-Side.
